The village of Portessie is situated on the Moray Firth, an inlet (firth) of the North Sea. It is now part of the town of Buckie, but was once a small fishing community. The name Portessie comes from Port Easy. Seemingly it was an easy port for smugglers.

Those who know me well know that photography is a way of life for me. It is my passion, and has been since I was a child and used my parents' box camera to photograph cows in a field near our home in Scotland.
